Sleek swing door from DORMA Glas offers safety and style

MILLERSVILLE, Md. – Parents no longer have to worry about little fingers getting caught in nip and shear gaps of doors thanks to a new swing door system called BEYOND from DORMA Glas.

Children in particular are prone to getting fingers caught in the dangerous spaces between the secondary closing edges of doors. The BEYOND system locates pivot point of the glass door at the glass edge, thus eliminating the nip hazard. The system is not only safe, but also offers a striking, attractive, modern design.

Manufactured from durable aluminum, the practical product can be used as standard for tempered safety glass of 2/5” (10 mm) and 1/2” (12 mm) in thickness. With a full-length pivot rod or short rod solution for door leaf weighs up to 176 1/3 lbs (80 kg), this system is an elegant safe solution.

The BEYOND system is available for a door height between 6’-4” (1900 mm) and 7’-3” (2200 mm), a maximum door leaf of 3’-0” (900 mm) by 7’-3” (2200 mm) and a large fanlight/overpanel maximum of 3’-0” (900 mm) by 2’-0” (600 mm).
