The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center (GEHC) became the first building in Gwinnett County to receive
a Gold Certification for LEED, a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.
The GEHC explores the impact of water on our history and everyday lives and the water management challenges we face in the future. The 59,000-square-foot demonstration building includes community meeting spaces, classrooms, historical displays, and a hands-on learning lab for children.
Prominent Features
The architectural hardware throughout needed to complement rather than detract from the glass. Products from DORMA Architectural Hardware delivered the ideal balance of performance and design: TS93 Series Surface-applied Door Closers, 8900 Series Surface-applied Door closers, 9000 Series Exit Devices, RTS88 Overhead Concealed Closers, BTS80 Concealed Floor Closers, ED800 Low Energy Series Door Operators, ES-110 Series Electric Strikes, and 900 Series Overhead Stops.
