After a $400 million expansion, Reno’s luxurious and dynamic Peppermill resort boasts the new 62,800 sq ft Tuscany Ballroom,
18-story Tuscany Tower, and 3-story Spa Toscana, to name just some of the upgrades. According to Pacific Mountain Contractors of Reno, “It is a Tuscan theme with a little touch of Venice.” With Italian marble, hand-painted finishes, warm, earthy tones, and rich furnishings, the Spa Toscana creates a tranquil setting for 24 well appointed treatment rooms, mosaic-covered floors, fountains, and gardens. Oversized wooden doors to the ballroom echo the Spa’s Tuscan décor, while outside, the pool deck features fountains and sculptured bronzes for an Italianate ambience.
Prominent Features
Anchor Door and Hardware of Reno supplied a range of DORMA Architectural Hardware for internal and external doorways that met the project’s demanding functional and aesthetic requirements. Throughout the new construction, heavy-duty and durable DORMA Architectural Hardware was installed to ensure reliable, secure, and convenient doorways. To complement the earthy, Tuscan décor, specifiers chose an oil-rubbed bronze finish (613). The DORMA closers, exit devices, and mortise locksets selected were the perfect choice for a 24/7, high volume application where both aesthetics and security are paramount. The DORMA products installed include 8900 Series Door Closers, ED800 Low Energy Operators, 9000 Series Heavy-Duty Exit Devices, and CL800 Series Heavy-Duty Cylindrical Locksets.
